Invitation to First Round of the DF95 Metropolitan & Southern District Travellers Trophy 2025.
On Wednesday 16th April, HCMYC is hosting the First Round of the DF95 Metropolitan & Southern District Travellers Trophy 2025.
We would like to invite DF95 sailors to come and join us for this meeting, which is the first in the series of 6 races to be held on exclusively on week days. The other events in the series are:
Wednesday 7th May – GUILDFORD MYC
Thursday 12th June – EAST KENT RSC
Thursday 10th July- DATCHET RS
Friday 8th August – GOSPORT MYBC
Monday 22rd September – CHIPSTEAD SC RS
Wednesday 8th October – EASTBOURNE & DISTRICT MYC
The sailing will take place on our water, the Rick Pond, which is adjacent to our clubhouse located in Home Park in the grounds of Hampton Court.
There will be hot drinks available in the club house throughout the day.
There is plenty of free parking adjacent to the clubhouse, which will be open, heated and available all day.
We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible for a good day of sailing.

Entry to the event is to be made via email to [email protected] giving sail number and club. The entry fee is £7 which can be paid in cash, by cheque or by credit card at registration.
The entry closing date is Sunday 13th April 2025.
Racing will be conducted in accordance with the Racing Rules of Sailing 2025-28 and MYA Standard Sailing Instructions, as varied by this notice.
Registration opens from 9.00am on Wednesday. Briefing will be at 10.00am.
There will be a lunch break of approximately 30 minutes - final details will be announced at the Briefing. The first race will take place not less than 10 minutes after the start of the briefing and the last race will not start after 16.00pm. Any race in progress at 16.15pm will be abandoned. Prizes for the first 3 helms (at least) will be awarded in our clubhouse on completion of racing on Sunday.

Launching is via our landing stage, but Wellington boots/waders may be useful, particularly in wet weather. The Club house will be heated and available to all throughout the day.
Kingston upon Thames is a 20 minute walk along the river towpath and Hampton Court Palace is a 10 minute walk
