Invitation to Rounds 1 and 2 of the PRACC A Boat Championship
On Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April, HCMYC is hosting Rounds 1 and 2 of the PRACC A boat Championship. The sailing will take place on our water, the Rick Pond, which is adjacent to our clubhouse located in Home Park in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace.
On both days, there will be bacon butties available in the clubhouse before sailing commences, homemade soup at will be available at lunchtime and hot drinks will be available throughout the day.
We have arranged for dinner at the at the adjacent Hampton Court Palace Golf Club. Reservations are not necessary, but it would be helpful if you could let us know if you are planning to attend.
There is plenty of free parking adjacent to the clubhouse, which will be open, heated and available all day.
Home Park is closed at night, but parking for motor homes is available at Apps Court Farm, approximately 5 miles away www.appscourtfarm.com.
We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible for a good weekend of sailing.

Each day’s racing will be run as a separate round of the PRACC Championship and the entry fee is £5 for each day.
Entry to the event is to be made via email to [email protected] giving sail number and club. An acknowledgement to all entries will be sent by email.
An informal dinner will be available at the adjacent golf club on Saturday, starting at 5.00pm. Please let Colin know if you would like to attend, the Golf Club would like indicative numbers.

Racing will be conducted in accordance with the Racing Rules of Sailing 2021-24 and MYA Standard Sailing Instructions, as varied by this notice.
Registration open from 9.00am on Saturday. Briefing each day will be at 10.00am.
There will be a lunch break of approximately 30 minutes - final details will be announced at the Briefing.The first race will take place not less than 10 minutes after the start of the briefing and the last race will not start after 16.00pm. Any race in progress at 16.15pm will be abandoned.
Prizes for the first 3 helms (at least), based on the combined results from both days, will be awarded in our clubhouse on completion of racing on Sunday.
Club location. See our club web site; satnav KT1 4AD, what3words locator “chest.gender.picked”. Parking is unrestricted and free within the club car park. Kingston upon Thames is a 20 minute walk along the river towpath and Hampton Court Palace is a 10 minute walk.
