Sailing There have been some great sailing days at the Rick Pond recently and if you have not been down you are definitely missing out! The programme for October - December 2025 has been circulated to all members and can be seen as a pdf document here.
Racing
Club racing will now take place in line with the published Oct-Dec 2025 Racing Programme - see here.
Racing is usually in a single session, starting at 11.00 and finishing at 13.00. If you are racing, please be ready for an 11.00 start - this has been drifting a bit recently. On certain days (shown in the Racing Programme) there will be "Morning and Afternoon Racing" when we will race from 11:00-12:30, break for lunch in the clubhouse and resume racing until 14:30.
When racing, please ensure that you enter your name and sail number clearly on the Race Results Sheet for the day.
After racing please ensure (at least!) one member sends a clearly legible copy of the Race Results Sheet for the day to David Cole either to 07850 308 264 or [email protected].
David has set up two WhatsApp groups one for IOMs - HCMYC IOM Group, another for Marlbeheads - HCMYC Marblehead Group, for members to let one another know that they are planning to race or sail on particular days. If you wish to join the group contact David as above.
Mike Wilkie has set up a WhatsApp group for DF95s. If you would like to be added to this group contact Mike on 07957147701.
Leen has set up a WhatsApp group for the club – HCMYC I2R – so that members can let each other know who is planning to sail on each day. If you wish to join, send your mobile number to Leen: [email protected]
2025 Programme
As noted above, the programme for Oct-Dec 2025 can be seen here.
We are continuing with additional sailing days each week on Monday for DF95s. This reflects the fact that the DF95 is the club's entry class. DF95s will still be included in the sailing programme for Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays.
All racing will be split into four series - January to March, April-June, July-Sept and Oct-December.
